The room at Coastguard Boat House on Belfast Lough was just what I needed for a beach getaway - it had a cozy, homely feel to it, making me instantly comfortable. The river views from the room were absolutely breathtaking; it was so peaceful to wake up to such a stunning sight every morning. I appreciated the little touches in the room, like the complimentary bottled water and the iron/ironing board, making my stay even more convenient. The bathroom was well stocked with complimentary toiletries and a hairdryer, ensuring I had everything I needed to freshen up after a day at the beach.
Personally, I wasn't a big fan of the bathtubs or showers in the bathroom. But hey, that's just my personal preference, others may still enjoy them!

Comfortable bed, good-sized bathroom, and plenty of amenities. Beautiful views of the lough and easy access to the beach. Enjoyed the delicious biscuits and lemon drizzle cake upon arrival.
No secure outside space for pets, which was inconvenient. A hairdryer would have been a nice addition.

My recent stay at the Coastguard Boat House on Belfast Lough was absolutely fantastic. From the moment I made the reservation, Carol, the host, went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect for my arrival. The location of the boathouse was ideal, with breathtaking views of the lough and easy access to the beach. The facilities provided exceeded my expectations, with special touches like fresh milk, Tayto crisps, and chocolates waiting for me. The boathouse itself was beautifully decorated with a sea theme, showcasing the love and care put into maintaining its 200-year-old heritage. The comfortable bed, well-equipped bathroom, and thoughtful amenities made my stay extremely enjoyable. One small drawback was the lack of a hairdryer, but it didn't detract from my overall experience. I highly recommend this cozy cottage for a relaxing getaway on the Lough shore. I had a wonderful time and would definitely return in the future.
